About us
Medical Centre for Occupational Health Rijeka has been operating as an occupational health practice since 2002 and since 2004 as an institution. In 2008 a branch of the institution – Buzet – was established. Our practices are located in the centre of the city, at the address Verdieva 8, on the first floor of the business building Transadria and in addition to the fully equipped occupational health and general medicine practices and partner dental practice, they are also equipped with a laboratory, audiometry, spirometry, ECG, ultrasound diagnostics and rapid-test diagnostics of narcotics, infectious diseases and tumour markers. We are a partner institution of the Special Hospital MEDICO (http://www.medico.hr/naslovna) and we use their diagnostic and specialist capacities in the provision of services to our clients. Branch Buzet operates at the address Most 24, Buzet and provides services to clients from the area of Istria. Our practices also provide services based on the concession of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia and on the agreement with the Croatian Health Insurance Fund. All practices are fully computerized, the treatment of patients is digitalized and we can perform all medical examinations within one working day.
The work of our institution is in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 work procedures, certified by the company TUV Nord, and in our work we also comply with the international norms of medical assistance companies whose licences we hold, and the only quality control system in naval medicine – IMHA Quality.
Our work is constantly subjected to independent international quality control procedures, providing the highest level of service to customers, equal to the one in the most developed health systems of the world. Practices and physicians are authorized by international companies for medical assistance such as: United Healthcare Global, FRONTIER Medex, International SOS, Allen Medical Group, Inc. AP Companies, Guidepoint Global Advisors, Second Opinion International Medical Network.
The practices are a part of prestigious international systems Highway to Health, International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers (IAMAT) and Medtravel. Our physicians are members of international professional associations: International Maritime Health Association (IMHA), International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and Croatian Medical Chamber and Croatian Society on Occupational Health.
